We are
looking for a talented and experienced Lighting & Shading Technical
Director to work in our CGI department at Gas Ferry Road.

The
CGI department is involved principally in the production of
commercials, and occasionally broadcast and short films. It is also
involved in the CG aspects of Aardman’s Features slate.

You will
be expected to provide support across the department in
lighting/rendering and shading. Setting up lighting/shading workflow
and providing complete lit shots on all CGI productions including
commercials, short films and stings.

You should be highly
proficient in Maya (including experience of MEL & Python
scripting). Also, you should have an in-depth knowledge of Renderman
(writing shaders in SL, RIB debugging , RMS usage and configuration)
and must have experience in a production environment. You will also
need proven compositing skills (After Effects, Fusion, Nuke).
Experience in other areas of CG production would be a bonus.

You
should be highly creative in both technical and artistic problem
solving, with a positive and pro-active approach. We’d also expect you
to be supportive and team focused , with strong communication skills.
